First Steps

Asher decided to walk today. He has taken one step several times, only to collapse to a crawl. But today...

Asher had just woken up from his nap and was joining our tennis in the living room. That's what you do in Minnesota when you can't go outside- sports in the living room. And Owen was having a very hard time with Asher interfering. So Aaron was talking to Owen, Owen was crying over Aaron, and suddenly Asher just decided- enough of you guys, I'm going to get the ball myself. And he took 5 steps across the floor to the ball, and everybody stopped what they were doing and just stared in quiet amazement. And then we erupted in cheering and he bashfully laid his head down on the floor and smiled. It was so cute and we all witnessed it and even Owen was proud.
